On 30 September 2009, the Autorite de la concurrence (the French competition authority) fined the Federation Francaise de Football and the sports rights marketing agency, Sportfive, EUR6.9 million for colluding to eliminate all competition in the awarding of football marketing rights in France (decision 09-D-31).
