To facilitate new arrangements to expand the role of qualified, eligible nurse practitioners and midwives to allow them to request appropriate diagnostic imaging and pathology services for which Medicare benefits can be paid and to allow qualified, eligible nurse practitioners and midwives to prescribe certain medicines on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
